Leadership for Local Area Partnerships

“At the heart of leadership are conversations that matter”

Enquire Programmes

Enquire create programmes in partnership with national agencies, local authorities, local partnerships of schools and other services and individual schools. Sometimes they are drawn from our existing suite of programmes others are co-designed to meet the needs of partners.

Each of the programmes listed below has been developed in conjunction with one or more partners. They are available as off the shelf programmes or can be tailored to the needs of individual clients.

Here’s a sample of the programmes we offer. For a more comprehensive list see the Services and Learning sections of our site.

Coaching for Improvement

Introducing participants to the skills of coaching this programme enables participants to develop those skills with a focus upon aspects of their professional life they wish to change. In the course of the programme a range of coaching models will be shared, opportunities will be created to practice them and reflect upon your developing practice as a coach.

Developing Self-review through Enquiry

The completion of a school SEF can be a task to br completed or an opportunity for enquiry into practice. By configuring the generation of the data which informs the completion of your SEF into a series of enquiries the whole school community can be genuinely drawn into the process. Both as co-enquires but also in ensuring their voices are recognisable in the final outcome. This programme gives school leaders an number of processes and techniques to make the completion of the SEF report a learning opportunity which movers the perspective created from moving to improving.

Students as Researchers

All schools wrestle with how to make the very most of their School Council or how to genuinely hear student voice in examining how the school moves forward. Enquire have worked with a number of secondary and primary schools to develop processes whereby groups of students can be guided through a number of research processes. They are then able to research aspect of the life of the school on behalf of the whole school community. The written outcomes of those processes both inform the school’s self-review processes and give depth and substance to the claim that student voice is genuinely heard in your school.

Building Capacity for Local Area Partnership Working

As local authorities reconfigure into local area partnership arrangements new dynamics are created and new ways of working must be developed. Leadership is particularly complex in these partnerships as those who hold responsibility for leading the partnership must work with partners from other services, the voluntary sector and representatives of the local community.  Enquire have worked with a number of local authorities to develop programmes which support likely leaders in local area partnership working to develop a deeper understanding of the complexities and some tools and processes to enable them to work in different ways.

Developing Leadership Teams

Enquire have worked with the leadership teams of a number of schools, both primary and secondary, in a variety of ways. The process involves an initial consultation with senior leaders to explore what our purposes are in engaging with that group. Identifying the right group to work with; senior leaders, middle leaders, perhaps governors as well. A bespoke programme is developed in co-design with the senior leadership of the school.

Celebrating Success

All schools no matter what the circumstances they find themselves in have things to celebrate; areas of practice or provision which make a real difference to the lives of young people. However in the pressure to always identify what might be better opportunities to celebrate what has been achieved often get lost. Enquire have developed a number of processes whereby staff can engage in activities which surface the really good practice that is emerging, celebrate the efforts of staff in creating that success and enable what has been learned to be shared more widely.
