Developing Aspiring Leaders
Enquire draws upon its knowledge and experience of developing new leaders through our ground- breaking work with the National College for School Leadership in the UK. We designed, developed and piloted a programme whereby those who aspire to headship can spend time as an intern in another school, shadowing the headteacher, learning from their practice and contributing to the ongoing development of the host school.
Programmes can be adapted to suit local circumstances and include:
- Needs-assessment and self-evaluation
- Collaborative leadership coaching
- Enquiry into successful leadership practice
- Structured and supported reflection on leadership activity
- Engagement with the key ideas and concepts of leadership and leadership development
- Evaluation and ‘next steps’
